Nostalgia | M.G. Vassanji

Pickpick

Though the premise was intriguing and the writing wonderful, Nostalgia left me somewhat dissatisfied. The central technological "gimmick" irked me a bit. There is much, much more to unpack within its themes and explorations. A great choice for #CanadaReads, though, and I look forward to the debates on #CBCRadio next week. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

The Wonder | Emma Donoghue

I strive to devour all things bookish. Even #CBCradio "The Next Chapter" isn't safe from me. Currently listening to Emma Donoghue discuss the themes of motherhood in her book The Wonder. And even though my TBR is in the hundreds, this one might end up on it as well.
How about you? Do you have any bookish radio shows or podcasts you enjoy?

HiddenGemBooks What are some good bookish podcasts? I don't know if any specifically 😯 8y
This_Accidental_Hipster @cookiejanester the Candy Palmer Show isn't specifically books, but she's amazing and has done pieces on Canadian authors. CBC Writers and Company is of course a neat piece. The Imposter is only six episodes in, but I have hope for it becoming a huge hit, and it covers ALL media along with books, movies, music. Then there's The New Yorkers "The Writers Voice" and New York Times "Book Review" 8y
This_Accidental_Hipster @cookiejanester Witch, Please is totally dedicated to Harry Potter. Imaginary Worlds is a must if you're even REMOTELY interested in SciFi and Fantasy. And our beloved @bookriot has a show called All the Books! 8y
courtney Beaks & Geeks, All the Books, What Should I Read Next?, and Slate Audio Book Club are a few of my favorites! 8y
