Jane Fairfax has no idea what terrible thing she did in a former life to deserve having to rush Pi Kappa Sigma at the small Southern college, Austen University. Unfortunately, Jane has a secret, which means she will put up with all the schmoozing, hazing, and whooing if it means getting what she wants. But as Rush Week drags on and Jane endures the snobbery of the likes of Emma Woodhouse and Karoline Bingley, she begins to wonder if the cost of getting everything she desires will come at the cost of losing herself.
Sly Jane Fairfax is a standalone novella that can be read on its own or as a supplemental prequel introducing the world of the upcoming Austen University Mysteries series.

Surprised I enjoyed this, to be honest. 😂 It's a short prequel to a series in which all of Austen's main characters work or go to school at a Southern University. This is about Jane's secret relationship, and her attempts to pledge a snobby sorority that will facilitate her seeing Frank... even though a much friendlier one with Elizabeth Bennet is available. It felt like the author was having fun with the characters, and I'll read on.
