From the no. 1 international bestselling author of Better than the Movies, childhood sweethearts reunite in a hockey-loving town where romance is about to heat up the ice. For fans of Hannah Grace. *Pre-order now!*
From play dates on the playground to sneaking into movie theatres, Dani and Alec were inseparable as kids. Until Dani moved away. Years later, Dani is back in Minnesota, and exited to reconnect with the nerdy and comforting Alec. But teenage Alec is NOTHING like the boy she remembers. He's the hockey STAR in a town where hockey players are worshipped as gods – and he loves it.
When one thing leads to another and Dani and Alec find themselves thrown together and playing the role of boyfriend and girlfriend, “complicated” becomes an understatement. In this Minnesota town, hockey may rule, but romance is about to take its place.
A swoony, boy-next-door fake dating romance from the New York Times bestseller, Lynn Painter.

I have not read many sports romances, but I really liked this YA hockey romance. This follows High School seniors Dani and Alec, as Dani moves back to town and back into Alec's life. I liked the budding romance between the two, and I liked the depiction of how important hockey was in the small Minnesota town where they lived. This is a YA book, so romance is limited to kissing and hand holding. I enjoyed the writing style. Overall, a good book.

Read this book today…. This vacation time is fantastic for reading all of these books! This was a cute sportsy ya romance…. Most of the conflict points were easily predicted, but I enjoyed the characters and chemistry so much that I really didn‘t mind. Fun and sweet! Pubs next month.

Read4life I liked this one, too. It‘s just what I needed at this time. 2mo
