Pickpick

First novel this year that I've been really into from start to finish.
I liked the theme of healing from depression, as that is something I can relate to. And I liked the other themes of family, and friendship.
It was also interesting to see Ari get to know the real Camden and see who he really is, and not the fantasy version of him she initially fell for.

Oh and I loved that Ari and her new friends were into a sci-fi series. My nerd heart!

I'm running into a problem picking out books for my #SecretSantaGoesPostal buddy. Well actually picking out books is not a problem it's letting go that's the problem. If I haven't read them I want to read them before sending. I won't send out something I disliked, but if I really love it it's hard to let go. Anyone else feeling grabby hands?

Kappadeemom I am sending mine books on her list that I have read and enjoyed, so that makes me feel good :) 6y
tricours I usually go for books I have already read to avoid this problem! 6y
Dolly @Kappadeemom My person's TBR list has a dozen books 😯and I've read none. 6y

TheLibrarian Look up other people's reviews and ratings and go for the higher rates ones? 6y
Dolly @TheLibrarian I now have the books I'll be sending 🙂 I just got possessive for a minute and wanted to read them all first. After looking them over one is not for me anyway. 🙄 6y
TricksyTails @JenlovesJT47 😂 See? You're not alone! 6y
TricksyTails Guilty! It's hard when you're matched with someone who has all the same wish list books as you because you just want to ogle them! 6y
JenlovesJT47 @TricksyTails ok that makes me feel a little better!! 😂 6y
Dolly @TricksyTails matched with someone of similar taste is both good and bad. 🤷🏼‍♀️ @JenlovesJT47 Most just don't admit it like we do😂 6y
JenlovesJT47 Haha true! I'm not gonna lie I've read three of the books I got for my match but they still look brand new! I couldn't resist 🙊🙊🙊 6y
Reggie Omg, I just had this happen today where 2 of their books came in and I wondered,”Is it okay to read them before I send them off?”Lol idk, they‘re on her wishlist. But in my crazy mind, they are hers. I‘m not gonna read them, but it hurts. Lol 6y
Dolly @Reggie How honorable of you! 😇If I were your secret Santa recipient I wouldn't have a problem with you reading them first. All is fair in love and literature! 6y
kspenmoll Same here. I am@coveting one book I bought for my secret santa. But came to similar conclusion as @Reggie ! Sigh, maybe some day... 6y

Mehso-so

I'm conflicted. Castle's writing is beautiful, but I felt that she focused on smaller details instead of the bigger issues. There was potential for a great look at mental health and the expectations we place on people and, though it was touched upon, I think it should've been the main focus.
