The Fire, the Water, and Maudie McGinn | 
pickI don‘t think I‘ve ever read a book with an autistic narrator before Maudie! Seeing through her first person point-of-view the way she experiences the world was eye-opening. I was grateful for the cast of adults who modeled appropriate behavior, discouraged secret keeping, and were unique, interesting people who helped show Maudie the wonderful person she is. And I‘d be thrilled if her mom and Ron fell off the face of the planet. ✌️
