Good mystery. The connection between the characters keep created a few interesting twist. My favorite was the supporting character, Ethel.

I loved this one! Another book read during the #24in48 . It was suspenseful. It had mystery. And, it had a little bit of romance. I had to keep reading, which was a perfect choice for a #readathon . I borrowed this from a friend, who has been introducing me to everything Krentz and her various pen names.

The first lines drew me in right away. While there were some convenient coincidences I loved the mystery and twists. The romance was also great - different than usual, but classic Krentz. Great read. #romance #romantsy

"The killer waited patiently for the target to emerge from the cabin. There was no great rush, after all. The waiting allowed time to savor the prospect of revenge."
The first two sentences to a good book.

What an awesome book! I thoroughly enjoyed this read. The “sweet justice” could have been a bit more drawn out at the end. You expect a bit more, but still a pick for me!

I enjoy these books. Romance is my go-to read when I can't focus because of my anxiety. And Krentz (along with her various other names) has always been a favourite of mine.

#romantsy #romance

wen4blu I always use her books as a palate cleanser after a really weighty story. 😀 6y
WarpedSweetness @wen4blu That's a really good idea! I usually don't read anything after a weighty story and tell my therapist all about it. Lol 6y

1st rule of investment club... I have a question, are all sons of rich men serial killers? Because they usually are. Also the main characters can instantly tell what the other person is like just by looking at them and spending maybe five seconds knowing them.

JAK is always a solid pick. I read this "suspense novel with a tiny bit of romance" in one long gulp.

I‘m a Jayne Ann Krentz fan no matter what a genre she writes in or which pseudonym she uses. Her books usually have great action, and I enjoy the chemistry between her characters. Unfortunately, When All the Girls Have Gone fell flat. It lacked the sparks that keep me turning the page; it felt like it took me forever to finish. Krentz doesn‘t write a bad story, but she usually writes stronger books.

First, I should say that I have read nearly all of Krentz's books, including those written under other names and plan to continue doing so.

That said, I felt like this one fell a little flat. It felt a bit rote in certain places and the plot and characters were not the most imaginative.

Still, it looks like it is the first book in a trilogy, and I am sure that I will read the others.

I like JAK, and this was a good solid romantic suspense. I'd give it 4⭐s out of 5. I've enjoyed others by her more, like Secret Sisters, but this one was a quick and entertaining read.

This was not my favorite Krentz by any means. Everything seemed rushed and lacking depth. Maybe I am still sad about not getting new Arcane Society novels, but my socks stayed on with this one.

I had a chance to read this through the First to Read program. It was pretty good- a solid 4 stars. I felt like there were a lot of characters with a lot going on and that seemed like a bit much. I still really enjoyed it.

When Charlotte can't get a hold of her sister she joins up with PI Max Coulter. Already working on a related case, Max is willing to help Charlotte look into her sister's disappearance. As they talk to the others in her investment group, and look into her past, things start coming together to form a chilling picture.
I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and interesting, and the character development was great! Four stars.

This is probably Jayne Ann Krentz's best book to-date. It is filled with suspense and romance, and takes turns that I didn't see coming. It also touches on a number of sensitive topics, and is handled very well. 4⭐️
