I enjoyed this one a lot! Catherine Cowles is badass at writing romantic suspense. Tattered Stars kept me on my toes, had me rooting for the main love interests, Everly and Hayes. I loved that the characters, including the secondary characters, were well-developed. They felt real which is something you don‘t always get in a book. Another great star to a series.

Catherine Cowles spoke about this book at a panel last year at Book Bonanza, and from what I heard, I just knew I had to have it. Boy, was I in for a story! Everything about this book, this story, was beyond what I expected. Everly was relatable at times, but so was Hayes. The whole plot was realistic. The ending left on a bit of a cliffhanger, but it was done so well. I highly recommend this one! 😁

This a solid small town suspense romance. Nothing groundbreaking, but very readable, entertaining and very likable characters. The “bad guys” were a bit mustache twirly, but I definitely felt the peril for our heroine. I look forward to continuing the series (standalone stories in the same town/family) 4⭐️

I picked this up not thinking I would stay up to 3 in the morning to finish it, but yet somehow I did. The characters and story are absolutely heartbreaking and heartwarming. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and see how each of the family members continues to grow.
