TheKidUpstairs @vivastory thank you for sharing. It's horrifying reading it all laid out together like that. Unfortunately, we are not safe from it all here in Canada. Today my library held a Drag Queen Storytime, and my boss has been dealing with constant complaints and harassment. One local church called is members and told them to call and complain. An alt-right website posted about the event, so calls were coming in from across North America. It's awful. 2y

Branwen I have been so anxious and worried with all the book banning/challenging that has been going on in school and public libraries. It's really very scary! I keep holding my breath waiting for someone to challenge any of the YA books we have at my library. It's exhausting! 2y

CoffeeNBooks As an English teacher, I'm absolutely appalled by all of the book banning recently. I'm not sure what's going to happen with our school library as well as classroom libraries for those of us who have them. 2y

Julsmarshall At this point, I feel like all of our freedoms are under attack. Such a difficult time and it is on us to support and lift all voices and vote and encourage others to vote like our lives depend on it. Because they do. 2y

BarbaraBB Book banning? In 2022? Vandalism at libraries? I had no idea. Maybe this news didn‘t make it yet across the pond. I‘m so sad to hear this. 2y
