MoCCA Fest is here! NYC comics fans would be crazy to skip it: April 1-2, 11am-6pm at Metropolitan West and admission is just $5. 3.5 ⭐️ This gritty space noir starts out pretty straightforward and then goes space bananas! Alex Braith is heading to Titan on the Southern Cross to collect her sister's remains - and investigate the cause of her death. Her bunk mate goes missing in pretty short order and the gravity drive of the ship is acting wonky - and the mystery sort of spirals from there. I didn't love the art at first, but it grew on me. Looking forward to Vol. 2!

Southern Cross is back! Southern Cross is back! (Yes I'm two weeks late on this. Oops.)

Southern Cross is one of those beautifully crafted comics that Image is so good about publishing. I loved everything, from Belanger's illustrations to Loughridge's colours to Lapointe's font. I came for Cloonan, but the top notch work from the rest of the creative team really blew me away.

It feels like a scifi noir set in space with supernatural happenings and a paranoid, claustrophobic atmosphere.

This comic is gorgeous!
