I would have loved to get a bit more of characters - I would have preferred the ending to make me feel a bit more.

This wasn't what I expected this to be, and that made this a bit confusing to read at first.

This was really intriguing to read and it was hard to put this book down. This was a bit unbelievable and that what's behind my mixed feelings. But I think I like these mixed feelings, because I still enjoyed so much reading this one.

I'm so torn! I'm saying this is a pick because the book was enjoyable and I love me some Barker but this is a low pick, which is weird because I've never rated Barker less than 5 stars.

The story was good and had a great sci fi/fantasy/thriller aspect but it kept losing me. Fast paced but I felt it drag. I liked the Then and Now format but there wasn't enough disconnect between past and present for me. The lines blurred too much. š‘‡š‘‡

FantasyChick A reread in a few months might make me feel different - this didn't sit for 6 years waiting for me to get to it - so it could just be timing. This would make a badass movie though!! 2y

To say I'm excited for the latest JD Barker book is an understatement. I don't preorder many books but he is an insta-preorder every time.

FantasyChick Hmmm. That's interesting. I did like that one but it had more of a fantasy type feel to it. I started it today hut I'm only about 3 chapters in so I don't have a huge feel for it yet. And no, I didn't get a signed copy. It's impossible to get one here š° I managed to score a signed copy of Foresaken a few years back from RiverRun in NH but they've changed their site and will only ship to US now. I think that's my fault š¤£ 2y
