Sunset Express: An Elvis Cole Novel | Robert Crais
3 posts | 9 read | 3 to read
Available now as an ebook for the first time! Prominent restaurateur Teddy Martin is facing charges in his wife's brutal murder. But he's not going down without spending a bundle of cash on his defense. So his hotshot attorney hires P.I. Elvis Cole to find proof that Detective Angela Rossi tampered with the evidence. Rossi needs a way back to the fast track after falling hard during an internal investigation five years ago. But Cole needs to know if she's desperate enough to falsify the case against Martin in order to secure her own position. As Cole and his partner Joe Pike work their way through a tangle of witnesses and an even greater tangle of media, they begin to suspect that it's not the police who are behind the setup.

Bk6 in the Elvis Cole series is another winner. A body is found in garbage bags off an overlook on Mulholland Dr. It turns out to be the wife of a big name restauranter, who claims she'd been kidnapped & he'd paid the ransom. Elvis is hired by his defence team to follow up tip line leads when he stumbles on evidence which clears the accused. But when Elvis finds out that he's been lied to, he starts digging for the truth. 5⭐️

Doesn't it just burn your buns when you do a reread of a most beloved series & you get 5 books in before realizing that Bk6 has "disappeared" so you have to go buy it again from an ebook vendor because it's 1am and you're invested in finishing the damn series? Or is that just me.?
