This urban fantasy graphic novel set in the Philippines is strong with mythological rrpresentation, but okay with writing style and visual sequence of the story. With the first few stories, the writing and story sequence was jumbled, some chapters, character spotlight, and cases felt rushed. Alexandra Trese seemed flat in this volume. The last 2 stories grasped my attention and centered on a theme. I'll read volume 2 to see how the story develops.
#ConflictedWorlds Day 17: #PersonVsSupernatural is captured perfectly in this graphic novel that is now on Netflix!! Make sure you watch it, Litsy people! Here is a photo with the creator, Budjette Tan, whom I interviewed at GatheringBooks (along with my daughter, when she was but a wee thing, and now she‘s in Uni!) and invited to speak at the Asian Festival Children‘s Content in Singapore.
