As part of a school assignment, all the students in his class will be going to their parents tomorrow, but Will isnt excited about ithed rather sleep in and do nothing with his friends. His father doesnt even have an exciting job like his best friend Jamess father who is a fireman. Wills dad works for an international trading company and has to wake up early every morning to commute to his office on the eighty-fifth floor in the south building of the World Trade Center in Manhattan. Will doesnt see his father very often because of the hours he puts in at the office. He doubts that his dad will bother making time for him tomorrow even when they are supposed to be spending the day together. It's really good! It might be triggering (about 9/11) but I loved it. It's a story about compassion, love, and acceptance. A really good (but short) read.

#3books Set in New York City

All on my TBR. The tagged book takes place on this date 19 years ago and might be difficult to read. 🖤

megnews @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick it was hard to read but I thought very well done. I liked City if Girls a lot. 4y

This book is not without its faults but I‘m giving it a 5 ⭐️ anyway! The effort to share the facts of the WTC in conversation was a bit clunky but the pace of this #YA novel was astounding. I haven‘t read a book so quickly in awhile. You will care for these characters and push them along as they meet obstacle after obstacle as they make their way down the stairs of the South Tower on 9/11.

Nerdy_Bookworm This sounds like a book that I'll need my handy dandy box of Kleenex for! 4y

This is a heart wrenching young readers story about the 9/11 attack. First in a set of two books, that make you want to get to that last page!
