Pickpick

This one was a good journey for all of the characters. It's a Ballad books so it's got the feel of a slower and quieter life. There's a geriatric convict on his way home, a deluded doctoral student trying a backwoods trip that he's totally unprepared for, and a deputy in training. Plus there's Nora Bonesteel for the paranormal sightings and historic background.

Overcast and pollen everywhere, but I feel closer to this story outside. I love McCrumb's ballad novels!

LeslieO Me, too! And she has the best titles. 7y
