This one of two short stories included at the end of Salem‘s Lot. I think it‘s also part of Night Shift.
This story takes place two years after the end of Salem‘s Lot when a car breaks down just outside of Jerusalem‘s Lot and an out-of-town family is stranded at night. It‘s very short and plenty chilling!! Even though I read it earlier than I expected to, It was awesome to read it with Salem‘s Lot fresh in my mind.
