3 posts | 1 read | 1 reading | 2 to read
The third book in the wickedly seductive new Scottish historical romance series from New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Enoch, Hit Me With Your Best Scot! The MacTaggert brothers have one task: Find English brides or lose their land! Coll MacTaggert, Viscount Glendarril, is a big, brawny Highlander who doesnt like being told what to donot even by his exasperated English mother who is determined to see her eldest son wedded and bedded. However, when he comes to the rescue of an irresistibly beautiful woman, Coll discovers that he may have found his perfect match... The challenge isnt that Persephone Jones is famous, wealthy, independent, and smarter than anyone he knows. The problem is that she isn't interested in marrying any man---especially not a hot-headed Scoteven if he is the only man who seems to understand who she really is even when shes not sure herself. When Coll learns that Persephone is actually a lady-in-hiding and someone is willing to kill her for what she stands to inherit...Well, Coll has never been one to turn down a fight. When hearts are involved, nothing comes between a Highlander and his lady.

I‘ve been seeing this all over Facebook and Litsy, and it looks fun. Send me your suggestions! No limits, I‘m not a picky reader at all!

Well, when I couldn't find anything on my tbr with plaid, #littensdressedinblood, I knew the only reasonable place to look was in the romances. this one has an excellent title, a blurb from her Brigertoniness, and a pretty stereotypically fraught coverart scene. What do you think, should I add it to my list? (note: yes, I do read romances. Just generally not ones with Scots in them, lol)

Pickpick

The third in a series of which I hadn‘t read any 🙄, but I was able to keep up OK. New author for me, and I enjoyed her writing style, especially her humor. This was a social class difference/secret identity/mystery plot, so a lot going on. 😂 It was a bit more 🔥🔥🔥 than most historical romance that I read, but great characters and yes, I‘d definitely read more from this author. 4/5⭐️ Cute title 😉

Hopefully my last post for the day...😂😂
