Can you tell I am a little excited to have joined the Litsy Postal Book Club with @BookBabe and @MrBook ? I had to get a bunch of colourful notebooks, flags/stickies, of course new pens, and some mailing envelopes. I already have the Library Cards w/ pockets. I am excited to see the names/dates on them as they pass around the globe! These supplies should last a WHILE for the club, but there were so many for Back 2 School, I had to get all of them!

BooksTeasAndBookishThings Basically, a bunch of people become a chain, and you pick a book, read it and make notes/observations/maybe ask questions in a notebook, and then mail to the person after you in the chain. Then the person before you in the chain will mailed you his/her book with its own notebook, and you make notes in that one. And mail when you are done to the next. Eventually your book will get back to you with notes from everyone! 8y

I can't wait! @JaimitaPR @Peddler410 @MrBook has offered to help others start their own, he may be a very good person to ask, and you have at least 4 people interested on this post alone ;) 8y

BooksTeasAndBookishThings @HollyB3 it is for my book for the club, and possibly @Blair_Reads now, but I am putting it in the notebook that will accompany the book I choose and then everyone will put his/her name and date on the card like it is being checked out. It will be great to see it when it comes back to me! 8y

I have told so many Android users about it, and of course they can't wait, but I warn them: 2 things that will frustrate you about @Litsy but you will love... Your TBR will be bigger than ever and it will take away from your reading time in the best of ways while also making you feel like you need to step up your game because EVERYone is amazing at what they do! 8y

bookishbunny I wish I could do this. It sounds like so much fun! But a new semester is now less than a month away and I don't want to be the one holding up the book because I'm bogged down with coursework. Don't want to risk getting banned from Litsy! 😉 8y

I can't wait to get my first book from it =) @Hugoreads our PBC creator said in the group email that if for any reason we need to drop out, email him, and he will make sure to make appropriate changes and he will make sure you get your book back. You will just have to make sure you still send the book you currently have so it will get back to its owner. 8y

BooksTeasAndBookishThings @bookishbunny I will say, that we have a group of 29 and so far we are all okay with keeping it that big and allowing 6-8 weeks for each rotation. You may be able to pull off reading that one book in a month and then shipping it, but I know you may want to read another book in what little spare time you would get. Just saying, if you wanted to, it might be doable if everyone is okay with a longer rotation period. ;) 8y

BooksTeasAndBookishThings @cookiejanester It honestly just needs one person to organize it, which is a big responsibility, but I think very doable for a Litsy user. That person makes a chain of the people interested and gives only the address of the person behind you, and of course you will have the person's before you via return address. Then you pick a book and notebook and wrote your thoughts/observations and then mail to the person after you in the chain... 8y

BooksTeasAndBookishThings You will get the book from the person before you in the chain with its own notebook and you will add your own thoughts on top of the owner's and then pass along again until you get back your original book and notebook. 8y

BooksTeasAndBookishThings @cookiejanester We have 31 in ours (not 29 like I previously thought) and we are pretty sure the two that started it will have the list/chart to give us our address that we mail to by Wednesday and since yesterday we have all been emailing as a group and deciding little things like hashtags/names what we want in the notebooks (pictures/bios) and finding out general locations. 31 people in basically 3 days. So, it can be done ;) 8y
