The Postcard Killers
The Postcard Killers | James Patterson, Liza Marklund
Paris is stunning in the summer NYPD detective Jacob Kanon is on a tour of Europe's most gorgeous cities. But the sights aren't what draw him--he sees each museum, each cathedral, and each cafe through the eyes of his daughter's killer. The killing is simply marvelous Kanon's daughter, Kimmy, and her boyfriend were murdered while on vacation in Rome. Since then, young couples in Paris, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, and Stockholm have been found dead. Little connects the murders, other than a postcard to the local newspaper that precedes each new victim. Wish you were here Now Kanon teams up with the Swedish reporter, Dessie Larsson, who has just received a postcard in Stockholm--and they think they know where the next victims will be. With relentless logic and unstoppable action, The Postcard Killers may be James Patterson's most vivid and compelling thriller yet.

Just watched this on Netflix and it was really good! I had no idea it was based on a book until the credits at the end 🎥 were also watched Luckiest Girl Alive based on the book by Jessica Knoll and it was great!

marleed I‘ll check it out! 3mo

Again, not the best James Patterson book... but still worth the read. I‘m still giving it a pick, since I think I‘m just a tad underwhelmed from reading too many Patterson books back to back. Onto something else for my next book. #theunreadshelf

Update: Due to the pandemic, we are over staffed at work right now. I offered to cancel my shift tomorrow, and now I‘m off until Saturday! I have some crafty plans & some self-care plans, but mostly I just have reading plans. Specifically the #27Hours7Days Readathon hosted by @KristenDuck . I am SO looking forward to this week.☺️

Current time for day three: 21h32m⏱

mollyrotondo Congrats on a work break! 4y

Andrew65 That‘s great timing, and you are already on a great time. 👏👏👏 (edited) 4y
TheAromaofBooks My sister is a pharmacy tech at the hospital here, and they are cutting shifts - only 70 patients in the whole hospital (none COVID related, although there are a few cases in the county), whole floors of the hospital are empty & closed right now! 4y

Great story, but evident English is not the writer's first language.

BB1958 "English is not the writer's first language." I agree . However, given his popularity what does that say about America's readers? 7y

Well I didn't read a full 24 of 48 this weekend, but I did read 4 pretty good books and just devote my weekend to reading. I'd sort of forgotten how James Patterson novels are like the comfort food of crime novels. Until next #24in48 @24in48

DebinHawaii Great job! Reading great books is the important part! 🎉📚👍 7y
