On a cold January night, Sharon Lemke heads outside to see a lunar eclipse when she notices something odd at the house behind her backyard. Through her neighbor's window, she sees what appears to be a little girl washing dishes late at night. But the Fleming family doesn't have a child that age, and even if they did, why would she be doing housework at this late hour?It would be easy for Sharon to just let this go, but when eighteen-year-old Niki, a former foster child, comes to live with Sharon, she notices suspicious activity at the Flemings' house as well. When calling social services doesn't result in swift action, the two decide to investigate on their own.

This one was SO GOOD! When an older women heads outside to photograph the moon, she notices a little girl doing dishes in the neighbours home…. But the neighbours don‘t have a daughter, so who is this little girl? And why is she doing chores in the middle of the night?

Not really a mystery/thriller, but more of a suspense novel.

Nothing got done around the house because I couldn‘t put this book down. It drove me nuts that the prologue didn‘t get tied into the story till 1/3 of the way. 😂 A daughter disappears, a preschooler slave is taking care of a family and is discovered by a caring neighbor and her foster granddaughter.

I know every author puts their heart into their books and I make great effort to find redeeming qualities or simply not finish the ones that I cannot constructively review. I take no pleasure in telling you how much I hated this, but to tell you otherwise would be untrue.

On a cold January night, Sharon Lemke heads outside to see a lunar eclipse when she notices something odd at the house across from her backyard. Through her neighbor‘s kitchen window, she sees what appears to be a little girl washing dishes late at night. But the Fleming family doesn‘t have a little girl … and so begins the mystery.

This was a very mild mystery. It was an okay storyline that held all the action/suspense for the very end. I was somewhat invested, which is why I finished the book. I feel as though I was set up for an amazing read so I was a bit disappointed 😞

I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a slow read with a soft mystery storyline.

📖📚Happy Reading!📚📖

From the striking cover to the storyline, this was an amazing read!

Seeing what all I can read before my #kindleunlimited trial runs out. 😁

THE MOONLIGHT CHILD by Author Karen McQuestion
From the author of HALF A HEART, GOOD MAN, DALTON and many more comes the story of such a deep subject it will knock your socks off. Karen McQuestion has literally outdone herself with this one. The best book of this year for me and that is saying so much. 5/5 stars!!
