We're just about to finish this #enchanting book for the second time this year — first illustrated, now audio — because my five-year-old is obsessed! We started with the movie to help him get to know the story and then did a chapter a night with the new illustrated edition. It worked like a charm! Can't wait to introduce him to more Roald Dahl. ✨

One of my all time favorite books! I might need to purchase this illustrated copy for my home library 📚

This is a gorgeous book, and the illustrations are fantastic! The good news is that this is a perfect copy to introduce a whole new generation of readers to Matilda (or just to treat your shelf). The bad news... it doesn't come out until October. Despite growing up a fan of Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory books, I didn't read Matilda until this year- and this is my 2nd time around already!
