Whimsical, imaginative, love the focus on emotions, forgiveness and storytelling. 👻

What a crazy one-of-a-kind world! I‘m a sucker for ghosts, and these are some of the weirdest (and therefore awesome) ones I‘ve ever encountered. The story of trying to fit in, understanding your bully, and making new friends is universal, but the world (and ghosts) is what sets it apart!

This comic was cute and has a lot of interesting potential. The characters‘ motives didn‘t feel fully fleshed out, and the why behind why they thought various tactics would do anything weren‘t delved into. I did enjoy it, though. #ghost #comic #supernatural #middleschool

The art in this #middlegrade #graphicnovel was fantastic, and the emotions— of making friends, losing friends, and being insecure— were right on point. But I didn‘t understand any of what the ghosts did in saving “lost souls,” so the entire climax of the book was incomprehensible. Still, I don‘t think that would slow down most kid readers of the book.

This was an interesting tween graphic novel. There were some excellent character designs. Some of the emotional beats hit hard, like Effie being certain that she isn‘t good at anything. There were, maybe, too many fart jokes for me? (Who have I become? Too many fart jokes..).
