Passover Haggadah
Passover Haggadah: As Commented Upon By Elie Wiesel and Illustrated b | Elie Wiesel
6 posts | 1 read | 1 to read
A Passover Haggadah, enhanced with more than fifty original drawings, Elie Wiesel and his friend Mark Podwal invite you to join them for the Passover Sederthe most festive event of the Jewish calendar. Read each year at the Seder table, the Haggadah recounts the miraculous tale of the liberation of the Children of Israel from slavery in Egypt, with a celebration of prayer, ritual, and song. Wiesel and Podwal guide you through the Haggadah and share their understanding and faith in a special illustrated edition that will be treasured for years to come. Accompanying the traditional Haggadah text (which appears here in an accessible new translation) are Elie Wiesel's poetic interpretations, reminiscences, and instructive retellings of ancient legends. The Nobel laureate interweaves past and present as the symbolism of the Seder is explored. Wiesel's commentaries may be read aloud in their entirety or selected passages may be read each year to illuminate the timeless message of this beloved book of redemption.

TheBookHippie @Texreader we were remarking almost every year we see this sky…. Right before an April blizzard! 🤦🏻‍♀️ and generally around Passover or Easter. It is just stunning it started as lavender pinks and light oranges… nice way to start our weekend. 2y

Passover Easter Spring Saturday in April Dinner.

I cooked almost 9 hours straight today. 👩🏽‍🍳

A lot of people refuse to respect or even entertain another‘s point of spirit or belief. Growing up it just was for me. At least in my extended family and friends. School not so much😝 I encourage you to try it you learn all the similar things. Which in case you didn‘t know are more than our differences -if only you open your eyes to it .. ✌🏻

TheBookHippie Pictured my grandmas favorite as my last course. I miss her every single day. 🤍 3y
Trashcanman What a beautiful post and remembrance of her. I bet dinner was lovely ❤ 3y

curiouserandcurioser @TheBookHippie Beautiful picture💜 i understand missing your gramma every day-i really struggle with missing my mom and dad. I grew up Greek Orthodox and people were not always kind about different traditions-i wish people could just celebrate everyone 3y
TheBookHippie @curiouserandcurioser 🤍🤍🤍 Gosh some of those services are so gorgeous I have teared up in them. Growing up my Dad brought to every single kind of religious service available so we would see the beauty of the people. He was a Chaplains assistance in Vietnam -after the war it was important to him to teach us everyone is so similar. My grandma was always open door, it‘s where I learned it. 🤍 3y
curiouserandcurioser @TheBookHippie they are so beautiful:) that is so wonderful that your Dad did that:) and wonderful, too, what your grandma passed on💜 3y

GingerAntics @TheBookHippie wow, those are some long lasting women!!! I don‘t know, you had them so long, it‘s even harder than normal for them to go, I think. 3y
