pickThis was my #BookSpin for the month. I picked it up because I enjoyed her Sunshine Vicram series recently. This was a supernatural woman-discovers-she‘s-a-witch story with some villains and romance thrown in. I might come back to this series as I love Jones‘ snarky humor (in this one especially the sidekick best friend), but for now I‘ve got too many others calling my name. 😆
so-soWow! Cliff hanger! I enjoyed it overall, although the MC drives me a little batty. Don‘t have a favorite character yet & there are a few plot points that don‘t make sense to me & are really bothering me. Other than that, it is overall a fun, quick read with a magical element, fluffy romance and a bit of mystery to it. It was a fluffy read when nothing else was holding my interest & I needed something to zoom thru. 🤷♀️ a palate-cleanser
Listening to this one, & I‘m almost done. I must like it on some level because I‘m still listening and can‘t put it down, but on another level, Defiance is kinda annoying and so stubborn that she isn‘t learning much. It‘s getting a little bit old… The regular storyline of divorce, broke, and in her 40s, she inherits a house & finds out she is a witch & has to learn to use her powers & protect herself from the evils that want her power. 🤷♀️
