Once upon a time Elle made a mistake. A small miscalculation sends her through the roof of an enchanted chateau. Stranded until her broken leg mends, Elle is forced to rely on the good will of the sour chateau owner --the cursed Prince Severin.Prince Severin--the commanding general and staunch supporter of his brother the crown prince--is cursed to look like a beast until a maiden falls in love with him. However, he has given up all hope of shattering the curse after several painful and failed attempts to break it. As such he has only disdain for Elle, leaving her to the devices of his bossy servants. This suits Elle perfectly as she dislikes the entire royal family, Severin included.Unfortunately for the unsuspecting pair, the chateau servants are determined to break the curse and spend the majority of their time pushing Elle and Severin together. After bonding over gardens, animals, and terrifying squirrels Elle and Severin show signs of friendship, and perhaps something more...But not all love stories can end that easily. After all, Elle is not what she seems, and Severin's life is placed in danger when hostilities flare between his brother and the monarchs of a neighboring country.If they really want the love of a lifetime Elle, a loyal liar, and Severin, an indifferent beast, will have to use every trick they know to survive.

bthegood nothing about books - you mentioned earlier signing up for appts for vaccine shot -just checking in -have you been able to get scheduled? I know states (and counties within states) are doing things differently - but here (Ohio) registering with county health department has been helpful - they do down the interest list to schedule (eligible group members first)- stay safe, healthy and sane! 3y
Chrissyreadit @bthegood thanks for checking in- our health dept scheduled us for this Sat, but cancelled it due to weather and it is rescheduled for next Friday. Have you been able to get it yet? 3y

Going to finish this one started in summer and picked up where left off and like still there ❤️. The cover updated in my kindle to since last read it Beauty and beast won it one I was reading in summer may will finish it was 60% summer now on 84% I use the kindle for kids on my kindle set target per night and can see how many pages and how long for is great not just for kids

Nice retelling of Beauty and the Beast, with its own original touch. The twist towards the end surprised me (though I do believe other readers might piece it together), but I didn‘t like the aftermath. I think the reactions were disproportionate considering the nature of the secret that was kept hidden. I thought the story leading to that point was more enjoyable than what happened next.

#rainyday #kindle #chilledoutweekend perfect listening to rain ☔️ at mum caravan at Lancaster only day rain had all week. Which means perfect setting to read #metime hopefully will complete it 79% complete started it on 6th May on and off.

Chapter 6 36% in to say only read couple pages when had concentration for reading. well 5 min turns into this without realising in like bits , make tea read a page or couple In between Like tonight on/off. quick 5 mins most nights normally. Read 1 chapter tonight . But still adds up over time suppose

Bookworm04 It‘s the kindle for kids setting on my kindle u use it all time as like knowing how much read. I just add my self as profile as don‘t matter and set a reading goal of 30 mins as some nights I don‘t get chance to read. But 30 mins like done tonight in bits till get chance to read proper soon mounts up. I not strong reader and like reading like maybe 50-100 pages in a week say as good achievement when working sorting boys. I‘d say doing ok 5y

Bookworm04 Yes definitely me to I agree as be ace if could use that on phone or other device that‘s not kindle to do same. I never remember where got up to otherwise as sometimes don‘t sync over. 5y
Bookworm04 Another app I love is my library own borrow box that‘s saved me loads but can‘t read them on kindle as they not amazon 👎. Trying to get better reading. Just can‘t do it when tired got to be in right mood to read. Want to get to back to reading every night. So relaxing. Just prepare kindle to other devices for none kindle books. Like paper back to but still love kindle 5y

Only 3 more early starts then Nick & I are off on a mini break to Bruges and Amsterdam 😊 I'll miss the early morning reading time but I won't miss the alarm waking me up at 5am 😂
