My last Rumi poem of 2023. I don‘t think I‘ve ever enjoyed a daily reader so much, or ever planned to flip right back to the beginning before and spend a second year with one to see how the selections strike me differently on new days.

GingerAntics How are you getting on with this one? I‘ve got this on my wish list. I feel like maybe I should read some other Rumi first though before I dive headlong into a year with him. Just so I‘m more mentally prepared… but then it might also be fun to just dive in headlong and go for it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sometimes I like to grapple a bit thoughts and ideas, if that makes sense. 1y

TheBookHippie @GingerAntics So I think opposite I‘m head first in this and then reading all the singular books!! It‘s just enough and some days I really think ok I‘ll get to this later when I read more in depth and some days I just love it as is and it hits. 1y

I started reading this poem a day volume midway through September. It is just the right amount to read and reflect each day. It‘s amazing how much an Islamic Afghani man born in 1207 can touch this Christian American woman‘s ❤️ in 2021.
