The Raven King (All for the Game) (Volume 2)
The Raven King (All for the Game) (Volume 2) | Nora Sakavic
The Foxes are a fractured mess, but their latest disaster might be the miracle theyve always needed to come together as a team. The one person standing in their way is Andrew, and the only one who can break through his personal barriers is Neil. Except Andrew doesnt give up anything for free and Neil is terrible at trusting anyone but himself. The two dont have much time to come to terms with their situation before outside forces start tearing them apart. Riko is intent on destroying Neils fragile new life, and the Foxes have just become collateral damage. Neils days are numbered, but hes learning the hard way to go down fighting for what he believes in, and Neil believes in Andrew even if Andrew wont believe in himself.

The first book was fun terrible, this book was just terrible terrible. It was boring and offensive.

The author is also a big fan of 'i want it to happen so it happened'. It didn't matter if it was unrealistic or stupid.

I liked this book more than the first. There‘s so much more development in the storyline and the characters, and I appreciated the author always getting right to the point, skipping over boring details AND gruesome ones too.

I loved this. I can‘t believe how hard I‘ve fallen for this series. The #audiobook is also amazing and I just could not stop listening to it. And that ending, just wow but also what the fuck. I can‘t wait to hear where we go from here!🦊🔥

I‘ve not been this invested in finishing a series in a long time...

Book 3, let‘s go!

TheAromaofBooks I don't even know who this character is, but the graphic is fantastic haha 3y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @TheAromaofBooks, the main character, Neil, is always insisting he‘s fine even with lots of evidence that he‘s not - so this is 👌 3y

How I feel after reading past my bedtime but somehow still having half the book to go...

I‘m tired and I don‘t have answers.

I‘m kind of sleepy but I also get the vibe that something bad is about to go down... how alert do I have to be for a Wednesday?

I recently got back into nonograms and have found out that audiobooks go very well together with them! Currently enjoying this puzzle and book combo! #currentlyreading

I was surprised when I realized who the slow burn #romantsy was going to be. I loved the drama of this with what would happen to Neil when his mafia father found him plus the sports rivalry. Multiple villains. Great ensemble cast and character development. 🥍🥍🥍🥍🥍

My year in books has not been a pretty one. I remember around this time last year I said I would set aside one dollar for every book I finished reading in 2018 and use the money for books at the end of the year. I completely forgot to do it, but I've arrived at my (probably) final tally for the year and I am not only disappointed, I am devastated.
Throughout the entire year I only read three books.

In 2019 my goal is simply not to give up.

Okay so like... I only started this series for the gay stuff... WHERE IS THE GAY STUFF? It's not great, but it is an easy addicting read (which is exactly what I need as I am currently in a 5 day sick bed).

millionbooksihaventread Is it a stand alone? 7y
thatbookboi @TinaMar it is not! This is book 2. I believe it's a self published series only available on Amazon! 7y
millionbooksihaventread You got me at gay stuff. By the way, if you are looking for any book with LGTB characters, you should check We are Okay by Nina LaCour 7y

thatbookboi @TinaMar I think you just followed me on insta-- DM me and I'll send you a rather extensive list of some really solid stuff. I'm a bookseller and LGBT (mostly gay fiction) is my specialty. 7y
millionbooksihaventread That would be awesome. Thank you! 7y

Oh man. So much darkness that my heart hurts for these boys. Diving right into The King's Men, glad that tomorrow is Saturday so I could read late if I want to.

Aaaaah, The Munchkin woke up just as I got to the Exy match between the Foxes and the Ravens! Guess I'll have to wait till tonight to find out what happens.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Oh no! The frustration! I so understand and feel for you. 8y

"She was his idol, and Neil found listening to his stories as interesting as it was painful. When Matt talked about summer breaks spent drag racing in the mountains Neil remembered the sound his mother's corpse made when he tried peeling it off a vinyl seat."

GAH. I forgot how dark these books are.

Intense and insane. Saying I loved it makes me feel bad for all of the tortured souls in the book but, dammit, did I love it.

Never have I ever read a book where the author pushed her characters so far even they didn't know the black hole of pain was that deep. There is nothing shy or subtle here.

The second installment in this series is even better than the first. It is even more violent and heartbreaking than the first one though. We keep learning more and more about these characters- They feel so real and painfully human. TW: rape and violence (which gets pretty graphic).
