Habits of Grace
Habits of Grace: Enjoying Jesus through the Spiritual Disciplines | David Mathis
2 posts | 6 read | 1 reading | 2 to read
Hear his voice. Have his ear. Belong to his body. Three seemingly unremarkable principles shape and strengthen the Christian life: listening to Gods voice, speaking to him in prayer, and joining together with his people as the church. Though often viewed as normal and routine, the everyday habits of grace we cultivate give us access to these God-designed channels through which his love and power flowincluding the greatest joy of all: knowing and enjoying Jesus. A complementary study guide for individual and group study is also available.

Such a practical & helpful read for those in the midst of ‘cultivating holy curiosity‘, and also more mature Christians needing a reminder & reset back at ground zero. Also, I appreciated that Mathis was direct when compiling this book by including a lot of writing clips from other authors instead of trying to reword & regurgitate what was already previously ‘said best‘.
