Womentality: Thirteen Empowering Stories by Everyday Women Who Said Goodbye to the Workplace and Hello to Their Lives | Erin Wildermuth
7 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
Thirteen stories by everyday women from around the globe who left the nine-to-five to start their own creative businesses and found far more fulfillment--plus more equitable pay--than in traditional corporate careers. Womentality shows how it is possible for anyone--no matter where they are from or their financial circumstances--to achieve success and happiness outside the office.

This is a nice collection of personal essays by women who have chosen to do freelance work. What I liked most about it is that the women shared, in their own (seemingly only lightly edited) words, a variety of reasons and rationales for working outside the traditional 9-to-5. And the writers are from all over the world, so the big differences in cultural context for women working in much the same online workspaces were highlighted.

Christine Thanks to #librarything #earlyreviewers for the ARC. 🙂 5y

I have finished reading Womentality, and I have posted the review for them on my blog... check it off if you are interested. The reviews are the same; they are just on different platforms. They offered me this book for a review. The book will be published in October and my review is spoiler-free.

This book is a list of testimonials from a few women who have had success in leaving their 9-5s behind to pursue a bigger purpose. We all want to leave an impact on this world and we all want to make a name for ourselves. These women are mothers, daughters, friends, and leaders; who come from all walks of life, but with similar stories and passions. So far this book has been a fantastic read.

As a very experienced workplace outsider (only partly by choice 😬), I‘m REALLY looking forward to diving into this one! #bookmail #librarything #earlyreviewers
