Lucy & Andy Neanderthal
Lucy & Andy Neanderthal | Jeffrey Brown
5 posts | 7 read | 7 to read
For fans of the New York Times bestselling Jedi Academy books comes a hilarious new graphic novel series about two young cave kids living 40,000 years ago. The laugh-out-loud adventure features Lucy and her goofball brother Andy, as the duo take on a wandering baby sibling, bossy teens, cave paintings, and a mammoth hunt. But what will happen when they encounter a group of humans? Humorous and entertaining, Jeffrey Brown's signature comical touch enlivens the scientific and historical content, including a special paleontologist section that helps to dispel common Neanderthal myths.

Heideschrampf @Louise it's the most boring place to live, no wonder they died out 😂 7y
Louise @Heideschrampf Hopefully someone wrote an oom-pah song about it to sing at the Dorffest! 😜 7y

This was a cute, middle-grade graphic novel about siblings living in the Stone Age. Each chapter ends with a pair of scientists providing facts and further insight into how Neanderthals lived. If you have reluctant readers who like science or history, give them this book to try.

OMG I've been laughing my way through this. Sooo funny, yet also informative. If I were still teaching physical anthropology to university students, I'd make this middle grade graphic novel required reading. (where are the stone tools & fossil emoticons when you need them?) @penguinrandomhouse

Chessa Fun! 8y
LeahBergen My university minor was in physical anthropology. I'm thinking I will love this! 8y
