#Movie2BookRecs #emmawatson 28. So apparently Emma Watson was in this movie. I thought the movie was blah, but the book was pretty good. I‘ve heard it‘s not really true but oh well.

DivineDiana The book sounds interesting. Love a Hollywood story! According to the description, it is a biography, so sounds as if it is true. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 3y

5⭐️

I‘ve always been fascinated by the idea of Marilyn Monroe. This book really made me see her in a whole different light. Future MM reading/audio will definitely be done later.

Birdsong28 Read this one as this is considered the best biography on her 4y
Birdsong28 And this considers how biographies have shaped our perception of Marilyn . Sorry for spamming you but I did my Dissertation on her so I have read quite a few books on her. 4y
DieAReader @Birdsong28 I don‘t consider this spam by any means! I‘ve always wanted to read about Marilyn & it‘s because of a book my grandfather owned. I inherited it, but because my French language comprehension is horrid, I‘ve never tried to read it. Any recommendations are always welcome!! Thank you so much!! 4y

Very good. Enjoyed it although the fact that it was two books in one did throw me a bit as when I came to end of the first book it felt strange to carry on. Even though I been through this with Bridget Jones as my copy of the first two was in an omnibus it still felt strange.

Well, I actually did it. I went through all the books I left at my parents' house today, because they are selling. I donated 14 boxes worth to my hometown's library. It was super difficult to let go, but it had to be done. I hope they all end up in good homes ❤️ also, I kept 5 boxes worth. 😉

ApoptyGina69 Brutal. I did similar when I moved (about 400 books donated) and going through it it with my aunt this week. I just think about reading a particular something for the first time again and send that feeling out to its new reader. 8y
AWahle I love it when the library book sales have donated books. I have found some of my best treasures that way. 8y
Cinfhen Been there, done that! It's difficult and somewhat painful (letting go usually is) but there is this sense of clarity and fresh starts and that feels like hope and happiness 💕 8y
GlitteryOtters Ahh, so hard to do that, but necessary. I am in the process of doing a culling myself--it is so hard (but much needed!) 8y
Chrys I culled my collection earlier this year. Some of the books I had had for 20 years, but just no longer reflected my interests. It was hard realizing that, but nice having the room for new acquisitions that are more me as I am now. A few went to my used book store and the rest I donated. 8y
