Winner of the RT Book Reviews March Seal of Excellence AwardCollege drop-out Roxy Cumberland moved to New York with dreams of becoming an actress, but her dwindling bank account is quickly putting the kibosh on that fantasy. To make some quick cash, she signs up to perform singing telegrams. Her first customer is a gorgeous, cocky Manhattan trust-funder if she ever laid eyes on one. And what could be more humiliating than singing an ode to his junk, courtesy of his last one night stand? Maybe the fact that she's dressed in a giant pink bunny costume After a night out to celebrate winning his last case, lawyer Louis McNally the Second isn't prepared for the pounding in his head or the rabbit serenading him from the front door. But the sassy wit and sexy voice of the girl behind the mask intrigue him, and one look at her stunning face followed by a mind-blowing kiss against his doorjamb leaves Louis wanting more.Roxy doesn't need a spoiled rich boy who's had everything in life handed to him on a Tiffany platter. But there's more to Louis than his sexy surface and he's determined to make Roxy see it...even if it means chasing her all over NYC."

Mehso-so

This was a cute little rom-com — I honestly found both MCs to be a little irritating and stubborn in ways that didn‘t make sense to me, and the ending felt a little forced, as well as sudden. I‘m reading this series in a Kindle bundle, and it‘ll be interesting to see how the others play out by comparison.

Pickpick

I was stuck between a so-so and a pick.
I didn't care for Roxy at all, but I really liked Louis.
A quick and easy palette cleanser. This would be a good book to read after a heavy book.

Funny, light and spicy, loved this romcom from Tessa Bailey. It is one of her earlier ones I think, and maybe a little trope-y, but a lot of fun. And I love the trio of dudes, so I‘ll probably read the next one too :)

A fun new #romantsy is keeping me company tonight. Not in the database (but tagged under a favorite Tessa Bailey), Getaway Girl is about the family black sheep rescuing the charming southern politician after he gets left at the altar by her cousin.

Have a great day tomorrow! I have to be up SUPER early for a drive to an all day conference so hopefully I won‘t even notice Litsy‘s absence.

See you on the new servers. 🤗

julesG This was/is keeping me company, too. 6y
MarriedtoMrT @julesG I finally finished it last night. What did you think? 6y
julesG @MarriedtoMrT I suppose I had too high expectations, after reading the bum-grabbing scene on Book+Main. The love at first sight thing didn't sit right with me. Some of the dialogue was 'meh'. The end felt rushed and a bit OTT. I don't know. Could be me, though, not the book. I gave it 3 stars on Goodreads. 6y
MarriedtoMrT @julesG I enjoyed the writing and the characters but I hate when miscommunication or lack-of communication is used as a plot device and this relied heavily on that. Plus, they spent months as friends but the actual “relationship” part felt very rushed (and why did she move into his house?). And I agree with you about the love-at-first-sight part. 6y
julesG @MarriedtoMrT Yes, to all of the above 6y
