pickA fun mystery set in the late 19th century. Ms Truelove is sent to Greece to find a missing heir accompanied by the frivolous rake Lord Silverton. Truelove can speak to ghosts and there is an element of magical realism that runs through this book that makes really fun.

I would like to finish re-reading this book this afternoon because I want to get to the 2nd book in the series that came out this past week. I'll see how far I get before Sunday afternoon napping takes over!

I confess myself a bit put out with Lord Silverton in the end.
This is reminding me so much of an Amelia Peabody book. Not as good, of course, but nicely evocative fun.
pickI'm not sure how to categorize this quirky book. Historical fiction with mystery and intrigue, a bit of romance, a couple of ghosts, and time travel. Overall, enjoyable, and I hope to see more in the series.
pickWhat a fun, quirky little read. I love when authors take all the stuff they love and throw it in a book. Adventure, myth, mystery, and romance and it all blends together perfectly. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil the fun, but if you're a fan of Deanna Raybourn, Lauren Willig, and Elizabeth Peters you will totally be charmed by this delightful, quirky little book.
The store's book group meets tonight. While they discuss their books, I get to sit in a corner and read. It's one of the few times this bookseller gets to read at work.
