Twenty-something Kat Reid is loving life as an in-demand Hollywood makeup artist. She has absolutely no interest in rock 'n' roll, but in order to pay the mortgage, she agrees to work on the set of a rock video for the world-famous rockers known as Bad Habit...which brings her face-to-face with Nico Nyx, lead singer of Bad Habit and Adonis in the flesh. However, the fiercely independent Kat isn't impressed by the hard-living, womanizing rock star. But when Nico's model girlfriend shows up to the set drunk and Kat is tapped to replace her as the video's sexy bride, her combustible chemistry with Nico suddenly threatens to consume the set. Nico feels it, too--and becomes determined to win Kat over, body and soul. Yet behind his rock god swagger, Nico hides a dark secret. Can he rock Kat's world forever, or will he just break her heart?

Phew! This book was INTENSE, with a lot of serious tension, with a thriller as a secondary plot and a lot of surprises along the way. I saw a lot of them coming, but they were enjoyable enough regardless. Quality spice, although I‘m not sure how the two MCs decided they liked each other, when they spent a lot of time yelling at each other. Passion is passion, I guess?

I have loved every Geissinger book I‘ve read, until this one. The relationship leaned abusive (and I usually love me some bully romance, but this seemed different) I‘ll continue to read her books, but this one wasn‘t for me.

Book 4. 2🌟. I HATE giving bad reviews but I actually hated this book. I jotted down some notes as soon as I finished so I wouldn‘t forget why I was raging when it came time to review. — slut shaming. Body shaming. Controlling to the point of abuse. I hate to talk shit about something that someone clearly worked hard on. The style of writing was good but I can‘t in good conscience recommend this book.

Tadams4 Love your review! Honest and succinct! 6y
Prairiegirl_reading Fair enough that someone did work really hard on this but seriously it's time to speak up about this kind of thing. It's not okay and I think it's ok to say so. Haven't read the book but I'll take your word for it! 6y

Oh happy day! My order from the Bookworm Box came in! I took advantage of their Black Friday sale (50% off every book!) and hooked myself up. I love that their profits go to charity. Just another reason why Colleen Hoover is one of my favorite authors (she is the owner of the Bookworm Box).

This is actually a review for the whole Bad Habit series: Each novel is 380+ pages long, and packed with insanely high levels of DRAMA about the members of a rock band and the women they respectively fall in love with, conveniently, a trio of best friends. The major theme is the danger of secrets. Sex is graphic, but pretty vanilla in the first two books, slightly kinkier in the last. The last novel is also the only one with male POV
