I had THE WORST day at work. Lightning struck the museum. Which caused a lot of our computerized exhibits to go down. And our AC to go out. We had two schools bringing field trips. Both with incompetent parent chaperones. Then a third school showed up without reservations. We sweated thru our shirts so we went to the storeroom to get more. Cockroach infestation. And the AC caused a flood. And the guests were angry we didn‘t give them attention š¤¬

Loooove this. Tang Dynasty China isn't a typical historical romance setting, which is what drew me in. It was so worth the read. The steady build up was wonderful. I was genuinely twisting to know how they would get a happily ever after. I look forward to reading more from her.
