Best one of the series so far for me. Ultra dark noir, really, but the black humor had me laughing out loud even when appalled by what had just happened.

Book 5 in this tartan noir series and very enjoyable it was. Lots of humour and great characters.

Bk5 in the Logan McCrae series, it's another grim one from the wilds of Aberdeen. Polish immigrants start turning up with their eyes cut out then the sockets burned shut. DS McCrae & DI Steel think they have the culprit in custody until another victim shows up. Logan is sent to Poland to investigate similar Cold cases in Krakow & Warsaw, but after finding a name for the polish suspect, he's shot at and blown up by an ex resistance member. 4⭐️

Can't sleep, it's 2.45am & my neck feels like it's in a vise, which is giving me a major headache as well. Might as well try to read a bit before my head falls off & I have to switch to audiobooks instead.
