Welcome to Litsy!

Another short story collection finished this week… another mixed bag of reactions! I disliked the first few stories, loved several in the middle, and am on the fence about the rest. I did love the little connections between the stories as well as the hints of magical realism, which become more pronounced as the stories progress. This was my August #DoubleSpin.

A very short story but as per usual Atkinson captivates with her wonderfully witty writing. Took a bit of an unexpected (!) turn st the end but still enjoyable.

This isn't on the database. It's an amazon original and very,very short. I've read a page and laughed twice. Good realiable Atkinson 😅

Thought I couldn't love this collection more. Was wrong.

The cover was too hard to resist (pic doesn't do it justice). I rarely have time to browse the stacks @ the library since I have two little ones. So, unless I've reserved it online, most library books are impulse grabs!! 📚😁
