This stretched the bounds of believability even for a romance.

The romance portion doesn‘t come into play until about a third of the way in, but I was hooked on page one. The MC is at a parole hearing in prison and you realize she didn‘t really commit the crime but is covering to protect her family. Her family thinks she did it and is not happy to see her back. The details don‘t come out until later. I enjoyed this one a lot. Family drama meets law and order, with romance on the side. 👍
A so-so romance/mystery about a young 24 yr old woman trying to rebuild her life after getting out of prison for doing a crime she did not commit.
It was a bit too cutesy with the romantic scenes. Or maybe 2020 has made me jaded. I liked the ending but it tied up all the ends in such a seamless way my eyes rolled so far back I could see the inside of my skull.😅
The author's name is my (maiden) name. So the title is very fitting for me!
I didn‘t love this story about an ex-con and the police officer who put her behind bars. But I appreciate it for being a distraction during my stressful week.
I enjoyed this #arc! This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more. I believe it comes out in July. The premise is our main character comes home after a stint in prison for transporting stolen goods and her going home. If you enjoy family drama and suspense with a pinch of romance, you‘ll enjoy this fun read!
Starting this #arc I received at #KissCon. I am also now officially on summer break! Lots of reading on the docket, especially making a dent on my #tbr owner stacks. Bonus sleeping pup. #dogsoflitsy
