How Hard Can Love Be?: The Normal Series | Holly Bourne
6 posts | 17 read | 3 to read
All Amber wants is a little bit of love. Her mum has never been the caring type, even before she moved to California, got remarried and had a personality transplant. But Ambers hoping that spending the summer with her can change all that. And then theres Kyle, the most American person Ambers ever met. She cant help liking him. But can he really be interested in her? Even with best friends Evie and Lotties advice, Ambers finding love is hard. Is it worth the fight?

Absolutely loving this series. Raced through this in a single sitting. Despite the heavy back story I didn't find this as intense as the first and it was even funnier. Could really relate to Ambers Britishness. I continued to love Lottie's insights, they work well within the story and don't feel like info dumps. A fabulous way to introduce feminist principles & ideas to young people. I plan to gift this series to every tween and teen I know.

I love the Spinster Club books by Holly Bourne! Friendship, mental health issues, feminism, and romantic relationships all play a big part in these books.
To go with the British girl working as a summer camp counselor in the states, I made s'more pops! All the fun of the summer treat, but none of the sticky mess while you read! 😊
