Cocky Bastard
Cocky Bastard | Penelope Ward
4 posts | 14 read | 5 to read
From New York Times Bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, comes a sexy new standalone novel. He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska. A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive. When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours. My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense. I wanted him, but Chance wouldn't make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back. I wasn't supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we'd be going our separate ways. All good things must come to an end, right? "Except our ending was one I didn't see coming."

Mehso-so

I thought the first half of this book was awesome. I loved the humor and sexual tension. Then the second half rolled around and I just wanted to punch Aubrey. I felt for Chance, but I‘m not sure that girl was worth it. The goat is the only thing that saved the second half for me.

RachelO Ha! Now I want to read the second half! 🐐 1mo
LaurenReads @RachelO The goat is in the first half too and is the best character in the book 😂 1mo
RachelO @LaurenReads I‘m very happy to believe this! 1mo

Can you believe this? There's is an outcry going on because some slimy romance author decided to trademark the word cocky. One word, trademarked, as in you cannot use it in your title or you could face legal charges. Preposterous 😡

#romantsy #romancy #romance #teamromance #byefaleena

CoffeeK8 Ugh, I was just reading about this, it‘s terrible 2y
JoRead @CoffeeK8 Makes you wonder what kind of person she really is 😔 2y
CoffeeK8 @JoRead seriously, I read a lot of romance, but I‘m certainly keeping clear of her books from now on 2y

Bookzombie This is so strange. I have never heard of this author, but I think if people are purchasing the wrong books that‘s on them. They should be looking for her name on the book. What if another romance author trademarks “rake” or “duke”? Nuts! 2y
JoRead @Bookzombie Exactly! Some poor author gave in and changed the cover of her boom because of this. I'm glad others are standing their ground and are actually thinking of taking legal action. 2y
tpixie I can‘t believe the trademark was accepted 2y
Beata @tpixie Same! WTH trademark office?!? 2y
tpixie @Beata 🎉🎉 2y
readinginthedark 🙄Ridiculous! 2y
JoRead @readinginthedark And what's been happening since then it's even more ridiculous! Another author tried to trademark another word. It's amazing the things people think they can get away with 2y
readinginthedark I mean...if it‘s in the dictionary as a commonly used word, I don‘t know that trademarks should be allowed. It‘s stupid. Like if Apple decided to trademark the word apple or I. 2y

Pickpick

Having majored in Psychology, I found this metaphor funny!
This is one hell of a hilarious and sexy book! The first book I have read in 12 hours.
Warning: graphic language and vulgar content. 😊 ✌
