Pickpick

Truthfully, I felt this book went on a lot longer than it needed to. The book follows two groups of people that eventually blend together to fight the monsters. There are some really hateful people here, I'm looking at you Eric. Many times it seemed impossible that anyone could escape the creatures. They are pure killing machines. The book is definitely set up for a sequel. Although not perfect, I will definitely try some more of Janz' books.

aperfectmjk I've never read anything by him, but I want to. 3y

So it turns out the splatterpunk genre isn‘t really my thing. I like a bit more of a sensical plot with my horror. That being said, I enjoyed this more than I expected. It took me forever to get into this, but I was hooked for the ridiculous ride over the final third of the book. This was really just all about action with a paper-thin plot, one-note characters and way too much awkwardly forced sexual tension, and romance! 9 hr read time - 196 pts
