As easy as it is to find books about vampires, the opposite is true when seeking protagonists whom are deaf or hard of hearing. I'm beyond thrilled when I find new titles, like this one. Though this was my first Australian title, different from American sign, so lots of Googling took place as I read about Auslan.

Simon's is 1 of 11 to have had a stroke leaving him as newly-deaf teen trying to navigate his music, a new language, and finding love.

I really enjoyed this book. Being someone who loves music, I loved seeing it through someone else's perspective, someone who can't hear nonetheless. Definitely has good perspective and is a solid 8/10. I would recommend this book if you like romance and overcoming obstacles in life. WARNING: briefly talks about suicide and depression
