Finished my second prompt for #booked2018 with this #cozymystery This was my second book in the Rose Gardner series and although cheesy at times it was a welcomed light read after Beartown.

alisiakae The cold weather and all the people finishing up the #cozymystery prompt may actually be putting me in the mood to read this genre, which is one I hardly ever dip into (with the exception of Agatha Christie!). 6y
Chasing_Pages @4thhouseontheleft Yeah, I don‘t much either but occasionally they are a nice break from thrillers and serious mysteries. I plan to read a few more Agatha Christie‘s after really enjoying Murder on the Orient Express, which was my first by her. 6y
Cinfhen You're off to a great start!! Congrats on completing another prompt😊 6y

Chasing_Pages @Cinfhen Thanks, I‘m halfway through my 6th book for the month already which is a lot for me! 😊📚 6y
Cinfhen That's awesome!!! More than some people read in a year❤️ 6y
Chasing_Pages I‘m always trying to read more and constantly think of myself as a slow reader after seeing how many some people can read in a year. You make a very good point, one I need to remember more often. 6y

My most recent mystery read is the first of the Rose Gardner Mystery series. I thought it was a 3-3.5 ⭐️. The writing is not the greatest and there are some annoying phrases used a lot, but overall I enjoyed the quick easy read. I liked it enough to order the next few from the series and see how the characters develop. It's a nice light read to break up the heavier ones.
