pickThis review is for Keret‘s short story “One Gram Short” translated by Nathan Englander and day 10 of the Advent Calendar Short Story collection. The narrator needs to impress a girl so seeks one gram of weed from his friend Avri. Avri knows a lawyer who gets medicinal weed- lawyer agrees to part with some but only for a favor to show how they are true friends. Interesting story from this Israeli author.

#RiotGrams Day 6: I learned about Etgar Keret when I listened to his magnificence during the #SingaporeWritersFestival2017 - I immediately ordered all his #ShortStory collections I can find via Book Dep. I hope to read them this year. I wish.

An impressive collection of blurbs, but I think the prize for most hyperbolic blurb of the last five thousand years goes to Gary Shteyngart.
