CBee @robinb I started it early because I was so worried that I would be a slowpoke! And yep, Nancy Drew is awesome, I read so many of those books as a kid! ā™�ļø¸š 3y

TheAromaofBooks That's why I love monthly challenges - fresh starts are frequent!! š‚ I will say that for instance last month when I was reading Moby Dick, I let it take five squares because that helped me keep plowing my way through it. So you're always welcome to break things down into more manageable chunks if it helps!! 3y

TheAromaofBooks @CBee - I did as a buddy read, and I'm not sure I would have finished if it wasn't for the convenient way that our host had divided up the chapters!! It was dense but it was also fun to get such a hefty book off the TBR!!! I don't exactly recommend it though haha 3y

CBee @TheAromaofBooks have you tried Serial Reader? That‘s also great for the chunksters - I tried it, but didn‘t keep up with it š‚ 3y

TheAromaofBooks I haven't, but I may need to check it out!! I have a few I want to try and tackle next year. For December, I'm letting my brain take a serious vacation - 100% fluff this month! š‚ 3y

robinb UPDATE: A twisty thriller, this one left me with mixed feelings. While I enjoyed the writing and the plot was fine, the back-and-forth of the time periods gave me a bit of whiplash, and I really didn't connect or even particularly like any of the characters. Everyone was out for their own means except for Susan who by turns I felt sorry for (I was rooting for some happiness for her) and frustrated with (at times she was too much of a doormat). š”» (edited) 3y

robinb The twists did keep me interested and guessing. But I felt there were too many coincidences and the ending too rosy. 4/5āļø¸ 3y

Mrs. Ford seems to be living the perfect life until the FBI pays a visit. Then everything starts to unravel. I liked the twists and turns and how it all came together in the end.

I received this as an ARC for winning a Goodreads giveaway for my honest opinion. Thanks to Post Hill Press for the ARC.

I didn't start this book, until this morning. It is a slow build to the halfway point and then the ending is thrilling and shocking.

Susan Ford is enjoying life of the privileged until one summer morning when the FBI shows up. They ask if she knows a man named Sammy Fakhouri.
