Millennium Falcon: Star Wars Legends
Millennium Falcon: Star Wars Legends | James Luceno
4 posts | 5 read | 2 to read
Two years have passed since Jacen Solo, seduced by the dark side and reanointed as the brutal Sith Lord Darth Caedus, died at the hands of his twin sister, Jaina, Sword of the Jedi. For a grieving Han and Leia, the shadow of their sons tragic downfall still looms large. But Jacens own bright and loving daughter, Allana, offers a ray of hope for the future as she thrives in her grandparents care. And when the eager, inquisitive girl, in whom the Force grows ever stronger, makes a curious discovery aboard her grandfathers beloved spacecraftthe much-overhauled but ever-dependable Millennium Falconthe Solo family finds itself at a new turning point, about to set out on an odyssey into uncertain territory, untold adventure, and unexpected rewards. To Han, who knows every bolt, weld, and sensor of the Falcon as if they were parts of himself, the strange device Allana shows him is utterly alien. But its confounding presenceand Allanas infectious desire to unravel its mysteryare impossible to dismiss. The only answer lies in backtracking into the past on a fact-finding expedition to retrace the people, places, and events in the checkered history of the vessel thats done everything from making the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs to helping topple an evil empire. From the moment the Falcon broke loose from a Corellian assembly line like an untamed creature with a will of its own, it seemed destined to seek out trouble. It wasnt long before the feisty YT-1300 freighter went from shuttling cargo to smuggling contraband. But its a fateful rendezvous on Coruscant, at the explosive height of the Republic/Separatist uprising, that launches a galaxywide cat-and-mouse game whose newest players are Han, Leia, Allana, and C-3PO. And they re not alone: Crime lords, galactic pirates, rogue politicians, and fortune hunters alike loom at every turn of the questeach with his or her own desperate stake in the Millennium Falcons most momentous mission. Through the years and across the stars, from the Rim worlds to unknown points beyond, the race will lead them all to a final standoff for a prize some will risk everything to findand pay any cost to possess. Features a bonus section following the novel that includes a primer on the Star Wars expanded universe, and over half a dozen excerpts from some of the most popular Star Wars books of the last thirty years!

I chose this one because it‘s one of the “gems” of Star Wars quotes.

hermyknee Oooh are you doing this whole month with a Star Wars theme?! That‘s so cool!! 5y
jpmcwisemorgan @hermyknee Yes but I wasn‘t gonna say it. They‘re movie quotes but because there are Star Ward books I decided that was ok. 😉 5y

I like the idea a #woman, any woman, using this to counter cocky Nerf herders, or mansplainers. I think I‘m gonna have to keep this one on hand for such an occasion.

Hello, my name is Nathan

I've been a Star Wars fan forever. TK-421 is the ill-fated storm trooper that goes up in to the Millennium Falcon to see what that noise was. That handle has always been taken on social media, so I was happy to be able to use it on Litsy. It was a while before I realized that I forgot to add the hyphen. That Litsy handle was already taken. So I remain the grammatically challenged TK421. It's quite fitting actually.😁

SandyW 😂😂😂 I was wondering. 6y
