Announcing that rare parenting book that will not only help you become a more effective parent but actually change how you see your children. Written by Montessori educator Simone Davies, this book shows you how to bring the educational values of a Montessori classroom into your homewhile turning the whole idea of the terrible twos on its head. Here is how to set up Montessori-friendly spaces in your home. Principles for fostering curiosity in your childand in yourself. Specific Montessori skillsthe winter coat flip; getting your toddler to pour his or her own water and clean up whatever spills might occur. And it goes much deeper, showing how a parent can really be present, be the childs guide, and handle tantrums and problematic behavior without resorting to bribes, threats, or punishment and truly celebrate every stage. Its also that rare parenting book thats beautiful to look at, with a bright, airy design and simple color illustrations and photographs.

It is so hard for me to believe my little guy will turn ONE in 5 1/2 weeks. HOW?! 😭 I worked as an early childhood teacher (or assistant teacher) for 14 years before staying home with him so I‘m excited to start this book that is right up my alley!

I am so blown away to have received this gift in the post! Thank you so much @Cuilin it‘s incredibly kind and generous. We have just read the Alfie story before nap time which was a big success and there are so many practical ideas I can crack on with straight away in the Montessori book. Arthur and I are very lucky! Thank you!

Cuilin You‘re so very welcome. Enjoy! They grow up so fast. 💗 3y
Mrs_B OMG Alfie!!! 😍😍😍. Whenever I put my shoes on the wrong feet it‘s always been called “doing an Alfie”. 3y
Helen19 @mrs_b I put Arthur‘s wellies on the wrong feet today. I‘d like to think I was making a nice literary reference but actually I was just tired and rushing ha. 3y
Mrs_B @Helen19 awwwww we can call it a nice literary reference. Hope you‘re looking after yourself this week! 3y

Heard so much about Montessori so had to finally dive a little deeper. I enjoyed it, learned a lot but not sure I will incorporate every single Montessori way with my kids...

What are your thoughts about #montessori?

BiblioLitten I enjoyed reading this one. I did take down notes. 3y

Currently trying to dive into. Since it looks like we won‘t be doing oreK for at least another year I thought I@might look into some sort of semi organized way of making sure we don‘t get too off track for my little guy. I‘m still not sure what that will look like but as I did Montessori oreK when I was a kid this seemed a good first thought. Interested if anyone has insights

Scochrane26 I have a friend who was a teacher for MS but currently stays at home. She is always setting up cool sensory/learning projects for her child. She now has twins, too, so I‘m not sure how she finds the energy. Yesterday, her child was sorting froot loops. 4y
GardenJess @Scochrane26 oh wow, what a fun idea! I can‘t fathom twins. Really my one keeps me hopping! 4y
