My reading goal of 2020 is to read just 10 books.

I've got several other BIG goals like becoming a data scientist, getting stronger and leaner, and becoming the best leader I can be at my job through planning and organizing.

If I'm spending most of my free time learning data science and exercising, that doesn't leave me much time for reading..... But since I'm doing a great job organizing my time already, I might surpass my goal!

To 2020!!!

Reggie Good luck!!! 4y

This book was published in 1998. So far, Leonardo's wisdom has stood the test of 500 years better than Gelb's has for twenty.

I'm going to wipe away a rueful tear at this point because it's either that or give a derisive snort.

I forgot to post last week's #bookhaul
I have an able mind, for sure, but I suspect it is more akin to a backyard magpie's than to Leonardo's.

@clconn17 https://youtu.be/6Z38VE5xlMU Yes! There's gotta be more...

clconn17 Good ideas! Maybe I can find some kid's books in Italian to read also! 7y
geodynamical_nonfiction @clconn17 that would be fun to see! @Eamann 7y
ARuralBlog @clonn17 a lot of the more popular YA books and kids books have been translated to other languages! I remember reading pieces of Harry Potter on Italian in college. Of I got lost, I always had the English copy to compare it to! 7y

Ericmanciniwriter @geodynamical @clconn17 @ARuralBlog I bought an Italian Harry Potter and am excited to dig into it, but I'm far from being ready for it 7y
geodynamical_nonfiction https://youtu.be/P9HPQVrBLx4 Italian "Let it go" with English subtitles @clconn17 @Eamann And I'm coming for you on Duolingo, Chiarra. 7y
geodynamical_nonfiction @clconn17 @Eamann Just thought I'd let y'all know that I've supplemented my Italian study with the lessons on the Memrise app. There are so many video clips of native Italians in the lessons. I'm really impressed with how far Memrise has come! However, Memrise seems to move slower than Duolingo, but you can supercharge it with a premium subscription. Totally worth it if you're a power-learner. By the way, did y'all see the links above? ^^^^^ 7y

"Learning a new language is a popular ideal hobby and a wonderful way to cultivate Curiositá. Like Leonardo, you can learn a new language at any age."

If you'd like to learn throaty Italian with @Eamann, @clconn17, and me, join our Duolingo Italian Club using this code: 97ERC5 ?

@clconn17 is kicking my butt on the leaderboard, and @Eamann needs more fire under his butt to practice each day!

clconn17 I'm practicing everyday but not sure how much I'm retaining! 7y

"Confusion endurance" is the most distinctive trait of highly creative people, and Leonardo probably possessed more of that trait than anyone who has ever lived. Principle number four---Sfumato---guides you to be more at home with the unknown, to make friends with paradox.

Day8 #seasonsreadings2016 #artrelatedbooks I appreciate art & love to go look at it in museums & galleries when I get the chance, but I don't have a lot of books related to it. Most of what I do have (outside of a few novels & mysteries where it plays a role in the story) tends to lean toward creativity & color. I let most of my creative passions out via cooking/styling food, blogging & writing, but occasionally I dabble in a simple art project.💜

Dolly Some time ago I read that book it was quite interesting. I remember taking lots of notes that I found recently. 7y
DebinHawaii @Dolly Yes, it's been years since I read it but I liked a lot of the information and found it useful. 👍 7y
