What a fun book for middle schoolers to read. I think everyone would like a grandma like her.

Sad to see this in the paper today. 😔 Richard Peck was one of my favorite authors growing up. I read his books over and over, and still own most of them.

biblio_ginger Oh goodness 😔 I loved his books growing up too! 6y

It‘s been a super busy week, since I‘ve been setting up everything for my school‘s book fair. Now I have to play catch-up with my #UncannyOctober posts. This was an awesome book I enjoyed as a kid. #ACityInTheTitle

Focusing on the experiences of siblings as they visit their grandmother each summer, this #childrensbook is an engaging #SummerRead. #JuneBookBugs

The books I'm giving to the other three members of my barbershop quartet! I'm not a particularly confident gift giver in general, but I'm feeling like I've got a pretty good pick for each of their personalities; Americanah for the one that likes modern classics; Big Little Lies for the more contemporary reader; and Long Way to Chicago for the one that loves to laugh. Gertie is feeling calm about it all. #recommendsday #gertiehuck #dogsoflitsy

Christinak Grandma Dowdel is one of my all time favorite characters. 7y
Chessa @Christinak She is such a great, larger than life character! My husband was just lamenting that he wants to read all of them again for the first time! 7y
