Barney and his best friend Norma are just trying to get by and keep their jobs, but working at the Dead End theme park also means battling demonic forces, time traveling wizards, and scariest of all--their love lives! Follow the lives of this diverse group of employees of a haunted house, which may or may not also serve as a portal to hell, in this hilarious and moving graphic novel, complete with talking pugs, vengeful ghosts and LBGTQIA love!

Absolutely adorable. Look this book is disjointed and all over the place and confusing sometimes, but it is also sweet and hilarious and sad and honest. It‘s not a perfect book, but these are perfect characters.

This graphic novel was incredibly fun to read and filled with colorful characters (literally and figuratively). If you're a fan of Adventure Time or Rick & Morty, then you'll probably enjoy this comic.

Last #graphicnovel from my weekend binge, and my first #hubchallenge19 read! Twentysomethings Barney and Norma work at their local amusement park, Pollywood, at the “haunted” house. Which turns out to be a portal to hell (and elsewhere). And Barney‘s dog Pugsley is possessed. And learns to talk and becomes a powerful wizard. The plot is definitely out there, but the characters are delightful and the queer rep is great. My fave read of the weekend.

RealLifeReading Sounds fun! 5y
emtobiasz Author is an animator who originally conceived this as an animated series, so it has a lot of the same vibes as Adventure Time or Steven Universe. A little confusing but utterly fun. #lgbtqia #queerbooks #ya 5y

⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one is all kinds of crazy. Demonic pugs, a Pollywood theme park as a portal to a multi- dimensional universe, what seems like a demon version of Dolly Parton ? Despite the nonsense plot it has such great heart, the characters are charmingly diverse and I had plenty of fun reading it, which is a feat as I am not a comic reader by nature.
