Merry Christmas everyone! After 3 weeks of uncertainty, we might be on the verge of closing a house to rent, just before the end of Christmas here! I'm both excited and nervous about the impending move. I hope everyone's having a lovely holiday!
“I don‘t drink tea. I hate it. It‘s mud. Moreover it‘s one of the main reasons for the downfall of the British Empire. Be a good girl and make some coffee.”
The spying - heist part is OK on par with the other James bond, but the recurrent racism and the opinions of bond on the first 2 lesbians characters are more than dated (and the 'I never met a real man before' when one of them 'changes her mind')...
Book, tea, journal :) a nice start for a bank holiday. I had to laugh yesterday evening when a character was described as only one of 3 to have a black belt in karate, and then an info dump on karate, read this out loud to my karate trained partner ;)
Fun book, but damn it is a tough read. Fleming was not a modern man.
Here are the other James Bond titles from my library. Could we call them #StockingStuffers? #SeasonsReadings

I have lots of books with purple spines, but most don't have predominantly purple covers. I chose these two because haven't shared a photo of these lovely covers before. I'll have to show off the rest of this set soon! #PurpleCover #AprilBookishMadness
I couldn't think of anything that we owned or that I have read that made me think of bug. So I asked my husband what he thinks of when it comes to the word bug, and he said, "spy, surveillance, like James Bond." So that is Post 5: bug #sizzlinsummerbooks #groupeffort
